I decided last night not take the highway home because of possible construction and really bad traffic. While driving north on a Biscayne Blvd., the flat-bed truck in front of me was carrying something like round tables stacked one on top of the other. One table, however, was propped up on the back end because it probably didn’t fit otherwise. I never like driving behind cars or trucks carrying too many things like that, so I quickly moved over to the right lane. That’s when that one table came flying out of the car onto the street!
I thought the car behind it got hit, but he was quick enough to move around it. I’m not sure what happened to the other cars on that lane, but I was so mad!!!
Why are people so irresponsible?!?! That could’ve been someone’s life!
I’ve already seen that happen not too long ago when a red cooler came flying out of the back of a truck on the expressway going about 70 mph. I was lucky enough to go around it, but the car behind me was not. He/she tried to avoid it and drove right into the wall going at a very fast speed and most likely killed themselves. It was horrible.
Please pay attention to your surroundings and move over when you see overloaded vehicles around you!
I had a REALLY bad scare last night and I decided to start calling the Florida Highway Patrol (*347) whenever I see dangerous behavior on the road. I suggest you find the number in your state and do the same. You never know whose life you might be saving in the near future!
