Here we go... lots of nothing with a little dash of something or other. I'm on overdrive so I can't quite write coherently. I spent about five hours at Barnes & Noble studying vocabulary words today. I started with great alacrity and slowly but surely the soporific words coalesced into a giant, prolific mess. Do I sound affected and bombastic?
*shoot me*
I take the Subject Test in Literature GRE October 10th. That's right --> I'm FREAKING OUT. Although I know this score is not as highly regarded as the general GRE, I'm just hoping for a small miracle where some of passages I've reviewed are actually part of this 239-question nightmare of a useless exam. Sixty percent is identifying passages where they'll ask you something lovely like "the author of this passage also wrote what....?" I'm struggling trying to figure out who wrote the passage in the first place let alone what else this mystery figure may have scribbled somewhere.
*shoot me again (just to make sure)*
I have a love affair with the following foods lately: Special K (with strawberries) and vanilla-flavored almond milk, lentil soup from Whole Foods, artichokes, a couple of chicken dishes from a restaurant close to home, French Tomato vinaigrette, and Doritos with a hint of lime.
IMPORTANT - Here's your mission should you choose to accept it: Go visit Soulful Spring, say howdy and follow his page to support new BBs*. He writes beautiful poetry and has tons of positivity to share!
The Mentalist is a GREAT show, but Supernatural is better. You should watch both.
HOLY FLURKING SCHNITT I almost forgot - there was an another poltergeist incident yesterday!!! AAAHHH! The coffee filter sitting on my kitchen shelf LITERALLY flew across my two sinks to land waaaay too far for it to just have slipped off. It was SOOOO incredibly odd that before total creepiness settled in I just giggled, stood there frowning in complete disbelief and said: "Really? REALLY?" (it was louder the second time). I don't know what the delio... NO ME GUSTA.
On a totally less disturbing note, it was my BFFs Brian's 40th birthday and we partied and drank pomegranate margaritas all night (because they were on special). Here a few decent pictures before everyone got too goofy:
And just in case you forgot...
*Blogging Buddies - shouldn't you know that by now?!

I love hearing about ghostly incidents. I'd have pooped right in my pants if something flew across my room without help. AAK!
Special K is my soul food. But I will only eat the vanilla almond one or, if desperate, the plain. None of this berry nonsense. In fact I might go eat some now. See what you did, making me eat late night snacks?
I'm trying not to think of the coffee filter although I dare not touch it... hhhmm... I feel a sage-burning ritual about to happen.
I just ate the almond cereal and I really think it's too sweet. The strawberry one has a really good balance in that sense... hhhmmm... interesting. Oh, and I just had a late-night bowl. blah. *oink*
Pobrecita! ;) Next time weight the coffee filters down, make that ghost work for it. Damn them are some big words, I had to look a couple of them up. For some reason I like Lie To Me, I think it is a well written show. Good to see you back! Now off to Soulful Spring.
Hmm, interesting. I've only had something like that happen once.
One time in our apartment I heard a mans' voice as clear as day saying, "Oh you can hear me."
There was no one around and I know it didn't come from next door. Funny thing is I wasn't spooked, I thought it was kinda cool.
BTW Miss Cindiliscious "holy flurking schnitt" is bad enough, but had you said motherflicker or goshdoodles it would have been way over the top. My ears aren't used to such profanity. :)
On my blog you mentioned the Winter Music Conference in SoBe. I presume that's localspeak for South Beach. (Pretty smart for a guy huh?) You have me curious, what's it all about?
I will shoot you again just to make sure, what are friends for?
I LOVE Special K with the strawberries as well. Thought you should know.
AND Kaleo swears his house is haunted and it might be but the ghosts are friendly. Hopefully your ghosts just like to make a mess.
Love happy posts! You obviously had fun! You're happy and yes I am. :)
Shane - I saw Lie To Me yesterday for the first time. It was alright and a pretty good show. I think The Mentalist is just wittier:) And yes, I'm sooooo full of big words right now... you have NO idea.
Barry! That is weird... "Oh you can hear me"???!!!! That is bizarre although I have to tell you stuff flying across the kitchen wins the price. I'm actually thinking about setting up my camera - just in case. HHmmm... My parents lived in a SERIOUSLY haunted house when I was a few months old. Maybe I need to tell you guys that experience. And I'm not talking about hearing things here or there... I mean your bed being moved from one end of the room to the other with you on it.
You need to watch The Simpsons... that's where most of my profanity comes from:) And go to http://www.wintermusicconference.com for details about that craziness. Now it's official - you're indeed quite insane. I LIKE IT!
Court - I'm thinking these are rather friendly since I haven't been tooooo creeped out. Who knows... and SPECIAL K ROCKS!
Thanks Joe:)))) Glad you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by!!!
Our Cindy said, "Now it's official - you're indeed quite insane. I LIKE IT!"
As if there was any question. You like crazy? I love doing fun stuff. Like setting off two dozen Tiggers on the shelves of Walmart. Y'know, the ones that you push down? They bounce all over the place and make that really annoying "SPROING!" sound. Sandy and I took off pretty fast, laughing our asses off. They made a huge noise, falling off the shelves 'n' stuff. It was a thing of beauty really.
On a more serious note, have you ever thought of trying to communicate with whatever might be moving stuff in your place? I wanted to ask the voice I heard who he was, but to be honest I wasn't sure if I was ready for any sort of reply.
Did your folks ever try to make contact? Could you do a post on that story? What is the meaning of life? Why am I asking so many questions? Why can't guys ever shut the flark up? Why am I proving my point by still typing?
Nyah. :p
In the short amount of time I've been reading your blog, I'd say that you won't have any difficulty with the test. So, no need to shoot you. Let us know how you do.
I love Special K, but I haven't tried the strawberry yet. The other stuff....um....you can have all you want.
Sounds like the coffee gods are trying to get through to you. They are sending you a filtered message....... "CUT BACK ON THE CAFFEINE".
Sounds like a great paaahhhhty.
Oh, I feel for what you are going through right now. I had to take the GMAT twice to improve my math score. I received the exact same score on the english section both times.
You are going to do great!Just keep studying.
Zoe! I just deleted a comment that posted twice and it looks so... austere (GRE WORD). Anyhoo, thanks for the encouragement! *fingers crossed*
Barry... of course I talk to it. We have an understanding: I don't want it here and it understands it. I'm not sure it's doing anything about it but I'm sure saging the craaaappppp out this house. And I've thought about posting that story, but I think I want to talk to my dad first to get more details. It really was SPOOKY.
Matty! Go get some strawberry Special K... it's soooooooooooooooooooooo good. I swear I'll turn you.
