Tea bags magically flew off my shelf this morning and landed on the hot electric stove catching on fire while I'm holding a hot pan filled with scrambled eggs in one hand and a hot cup of coffee with just a touch of almond milk in the other. All of my fancy schmancy organic tea bags caught on fire, I dropped half of the eggs on the floor, spilled most of my coffee while reaching for kitchen tongs to grab the burning tea and throw it in the sink.(There goes the smoke detector. These things are so inconvenient when your life isn't in danger.)
*sigh*
This was all after I came back from a ridiculously early visit to the car mechanic where I found out that instead of patching a flat tire, I had to buy two brand new ones. Sure they had about 50K miles each and were treadless... but no matter what happens, I always leave this place feeling jipped.
And now I'm out of tea :(
Bleh.

Look at it this way:
You know your smoke detector works.
Your tires are now brand new and you won't be sliding out in the rain or going around corners.
You are the safest person around.
See, there is a silver lining in everything.

Oh Matty... thanks:) Today has been a really stressful day - I even forgot to eat. I just realized now that my stomach hurts because last time I chewed on anything was before noon.
And I definitely needed tires!
I went to see Machete the other night and while walking to the theater my pants started to slide down. Well I have my drink in one hand the popcorn in the other and my cell phone in my mouth. Before I could reposition everything and before I lost my pants I managed to spill my popcorn and still lose my pants. Damn it boy!!
No offense, but I laughed out loud as I read your post. I'd be sympathetic, but at least you can pick yourself back up and clean the mess without the many possible distractions that might exist if your life were different. Just sayin'. Chin up, move on. And you'll laugh with me in a few days (years?).
