You were only an hour from my hood! Although I'm glad you had a chance to explore our fair city.

As a kid we used to hop a bus or bart and run around San Fran in the middle of the night. You brought all those memories.

Hey Cindy,

I had actually forgotten about my trip to SF. That was probably 20 years ago. Went to see a man who was in and out of my life for about 14 years. Didn't spend a lot of time in SF but I do remember the sea lions. Oh yeah, my initiation to SF was a present from a sea gull. But I survived. At least it landed on my sweatshirt. Got a couple of great shots from across the bridge. I think I was there not too long after a big earthquake.

I'm sorry it brought back bad memories but really glad it brought back good ones as well.

It's all about livin' large and enjoying life!

That was really lovely and quite evocative! I too love SFO and I haven't been in probably eight years now but I long to go back. It's such a beautiful place and scenic and relaxed. I too remember the sourdough and the chocolate and driving across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausilito in my friend's convertible.

It's truly un-Californian for California! I love hearing about your childhood stuff though. Fascinating.
